Perfect for brightening up someone's day.

Looking for a meaningful card to gift a friend? Thoughtful Human's eco-friendly cards at Paperchase have been made from seed paper and grow into beautiful wildflowers once planted.

The cards were born out of a desire to 'help people find honest ways to communicate in dynamic relationships and challenging circumstances.' Founder Ali experienced the pain of losing her best friend to cancer and wanted to draw from her suffering to make a positive change.

Some of the handwritten messages engraved on the cards include 'reminder, it's ok just to feel it' and 'do you want to talk about it?' Want to bring a smile to someone special? These clever, sustainable cards are here to help everyone love, grieve, forgive, overcome and celebrate.

Best of all, the cards have been made using kind-to-the-planet materials. Once you have gifted the card to someone special, they can plant it in the garden and watch it grow into a beautiful wildflower.

Plantable seed paper is a biodegradable eco-paper made with embedded seeds and post-consumer materials (and with no trees). Simply pop the card into a plant pot, water and watch the seeds grow. The paper will compost away and you'll be left with a beautiful flowering bloom.

BUY CARDS

Want to grow your own flowers from plantable paper but not sure where to start? Read these tips to help you out below.

1.Prepare your potFirst of all, select a good-sized plant pot to place the card into. You can either get your hands on these from a local garden centre or make you own from upcycled items. Botanical Paper Works suggests filling your pot 2/3 full with soil, so that it's full but not packed.

2.Plant the paperOnce you have enjoyed reading your card, place it into the soil so that it covers the paper.

3.Water well

Once you have placed your paper into the pot, make sure you water it well. During the first 10 days, ensure the paper is moist at all times.

4.Care after germination Once you spot any sprouts appearing continue to keep the paper moist but ensure you don't overwater the pot.

5.Enjoy the flowersAs the flowers start to blossom continue to water them well. Then, either keep them in the pot or bring them indoors to brighten up corners of the home. Or better still, pass them on to someone to brighten up their day.
